about us

Celebrating stories that connect hearts

The Homely Storyteller is a space where timeless stories meet heartfelt narration. Founded by Dr. Anitha Chakravarthy Sriram, this platform brings together literature, mythology, real-life experiences, and creative reflections that resonate with readers across generations.

Whether it’s a retelling of ancient epics, a deep dive into forgotten texts, or a simple story inspired by everyday life, our mission is to preserve the art of storytelling — warm, meaningful, and rooted in cultural richness.

our approach

Simple Stories, Deep Values, Lasting Memories

Our approach is rooted in authenticity, simplicity, and emotional connection.

We craft every story with care—drawing from everyday moments, Indian values, cultural warmth, and universal emotions. By keeping our narration engaging yet comforting, we make storytelling accessible to children and meaningful for parents. Our goal is to create stories that stay in the heart long after they are heard.

Dr. Anitha Chakravarthy Sriram - Our Homely Storyteller

founder’s message

Stories that touch hearts, memories that last forever

As a medical professional, I've come to understand that "The one who knows infinity and beyond" is a "Super power" that exists above all of us. I see Him every day and have faith in His existence because of my work. Every time I witness a novel illness or a remedy, I am certain that He is the one who created magic. I've come to realize that God is the only one who can heal. I have become the person I am now, thanks to the prayers every day.

I made this space to honor the small but profound stories from the Puranas that influence our daily existence. Every story is created with care, emotion, and sincerity, whether it's a bedtime story, a life lesson, or a sentimental tale for your loved ones.

Let's tell more stories.
Let's savor the morals they have left us.
Let's expand our cultural and intellectual horizons.
